Homeboy Sandman Walked 30 Miles Across New York To Make ‘Satellite’

Check out his new video...

Queens rapper Homeboy Sandman walked 30 miles to construct his new video ‘Satellite’.

The rapper’s new album ‘Still Champion’ is out shortly, and it finds Homeboy Sandman grappling with autobiographical themes. Probing aspects of self-actualisation, each song comes to represent a distinct facet of his life.

‘Satellite’ speaks from the heart, twisting boom-bap tropes to craft something classic, but also distinctly modern. Laid back, the song picks up where his older cut ‘Stroll On’ left off, delivering insight into his surroundings.

He comments…

“I love it but I felt I could improve upon it. I felt I could write a song that had way more depth and way more commentary and insight rather than just things I see when I walk around. ‘Satellite’ is my definitive environment record but it’s not only what I see, it’s what I see means.”

For the video, Homeboy Sandman started at his stoop, and then walked across the five boroughs, completing a 30 mile trip around New York in one day.

An exhausting feat, but a special video – tune in now.

Homeboy Sandman will release new album ‘Still Champion’ on November 11th.
