HANA needed to take a step back.
Exhausted, the songwriter spent 2013 away from the front line, re-assessing what music she wanted to make, and how she wanted to make it.
Emboldened, she went back into the studio late last year to work on a batch of fresh material. 'HANA' EP is the result.
A statement, an introduction, an opening chapter, the EP's release on March 25th accompanies a flurry of tour dates. New cut 'Underwater' is online now, and the accompanying visuals are pretty special.
HANA explains: "I’m so thrilled to release ‘Underwater’. This one means so much to me. It’s one of the first songs that I wrote/produced for this project so it holds a very special place in my heart. I wrote the lyrics with my sister in mind and what I’d tell my younger self if I could."
