Yoodoo Park's music seems to embody a sense of dislocation.
Recording under the name GRMLN, his surf-punk thrash-out masks a sweet pop heart which is capable of carving out ear-worm melodies.
Recent EP 'Explore' was a vivid introduction to the world of GRMLN, while full length 'Empire' was a probing, at times surreal take on the sun-bleached punk of, say, Wavves.
Born in Kyoto, Japan and currently studying at the University of California, GRMLN recently shot a video for 'Do You Know How it Feels?'. Every bit as colourful and DIY as Park's own music, it's a mask-clad extravaganza.
