Alicia Keys is a modern great, someone whose soulful touch has forever marked pop culture.
A real trailblazer who speaks her mind on social issues, Alicia Keys has remained at the forefront by continually challenging herself. Recent full length project ‘KEYS’ offered a full 360 view of her creativity, and was rewarded with some of the best reviews of her career.
Yet while critical plaudits are one thing, chasing the muse is another. Almost from the second ‘KEYS’ went live on streaming the American artist began plotting her next move, overhauling her plans and looking once more at her artistry.
Incoming deluxe experience ‘KEYS II’ is testament to this. Out next month, it offers a second glance at her work, while also adding some brand new material into the bargain. Acting as a statement in its own right, guests include some of the best voices in music right now, ranging from Pusha T and Lucky Daye, Swae Lee and Brandi Carlile, alongside Lil Wayne, Khalid, and Brent Faiyaz.
The project is split in two – ‘Originals’ and ‘Unlocked’ – with each half boasting 15 tracks. Clocking in at 30 tracks total, ‘KEYS II’ looks to be an enriching journey, with Alicia emphasising the depth of her passions, and the breadth of her kills
Coinciding with the announcement, Alicia Keys shared a ‘luxe new video for her song ‘Come For Me’. It’s a steamy affair, with the singer’s charismatic beauty augmented by guest spots from her collaborators, Khalid and Lucky Daye.
A super chic clip, ‘Come For Me’ seems to epitomise the natural grace Alicia Keys applies to her career – the perfectionist streak runs deep.
