Foals – Late Night

Directed by Nabil

Foals' return has been perfectly executed.

The band's first album in over two years, 'Holy Fire' showcased an unashamedly rock edge. Energising fans, the album flew straight into the charts at number two – missing out on the top spot by a mere 900 copies.

Set to play two sold out shows at the Royal Albert Hall, Foals are cresting a wave of success. Recent live performances have displayed a visceral edge, with the band clearly taking on board the advice of production team Alan Moulder and Flood.

New single 'Late Night' is set to be released on April 22nd, and comes equipped with an eye catching video. Australian / Iranian director Nabil takes charge of the visuals, with the shoot taking place in Romania.

Yannis Philippakis recently opened up about the motivation for writing the song. “Some of that is to do with my grandmother, and to do with ageing, and being on the verge of passing over into something else, and having remorse and guilt."

This isn't some Catholic guilt re-tread, though. "Byzantine guilt… bloodlines, and disappointment, and the unwinding of genes."

Watch it now.
