In a way, Australia has the perfect location to create electronic music.
The country boasts a huge European influence, while the United States is only a flight away. Hell, there's even Goa – and its epic trance scene – if you can face up to travelling the distance in mind and body. So the existence of artists such as Flume shouldn't really come as a surprise.
Based in Sydney, the producer has a low slung, hip hop gait which is matched to a near saturated love of bass frequencies. Lead cut 'Sleepless' is a case in point. Becoming Flume's signature track, an official release dropped last month with hazy, future-forward remixes from Schlohmo and Midland. Now the producer is gearing up for the release of his debut album, and ClashMusic have been handed a quick trailer.
Self-titled, the album is set to be released through Future Classic. Out in Australia and New Zealand on November 9th, 'Flume' features guest contributions from Chet Faker, Moon Holiday, George Maple and more.
