Eugy x Mr Eazi – ‘Dance For Me’

A salute to their Ghanian roots...

Is this the summer Afrobeats crosses over in the UK?

The genre has strong roots in the West African diaspora, but the past few months have seen artists from the scene make their mark on the mainstream.

Eugy and Mr Eazi are two potent Afrobeats artists, and their new cut 'Dance For Me' has been smashing it all summer long.

A huge hit at Notting Hill Carnival, the track is a salute to their joint Ghanian heritage. The lavish new video reflects this – directed by Vertex and Gabriella Kingsely, it feels as though it is set in a grand Imperial mansion.

A celebration of the Ashanti dance “Alkayida”, it's a vibrant clip, brimming with celebratory energy that is impossible to ignore.
