Embrace Share Moving New ‘Remember Me’ Video

Their new album lands shortly...

Embrace pluck at the heartstrings with their simple yet moving new ‘Remember Me’ video.

The clip is one final preview for fans, with the English group’s new album ‘How To Be A Person Like Other People’ arriving on August 26th.

There’s a full UK tour incoming, too, kicking off in Aberdeen on August 31st. The return of Embrace, the chance to absorb the new album is welcomed by fans, while the band are thankful for the opportunities coming their way.

The band’s Richard McNamara says: “Whenever we put out a new album it’s always a really big deal to us, we put everything we have into it. We know that there’s something about what we do that people love, that they just don’t get from others bands.”

“It’s like a pact, they want us to be intimate and personal and autobiographical, but they also want us to be confident and rousing and anthemic. It sounds like a contradiction but I think when we’re at our best we somehow pull it off. I think in that sense this album is the most Embrace album we’ve ever made…”

New song ‘Remember Me’ is online now, and it’s a stately piece of guitar-pop. Sombre in tone, emotive in lyric, ‘Remember Me’ has that classic Embrace feel, while also gently steering their music into pastures new.

Technically a co-write – the band worked with Sarah Walk on the song – ‘Remember Me’ has a special place in their hearts. Danny McNamara says: “The song was written by our Richard along with a fantastic new artist called Sarah Walk, and the second I heard it I fell in love with it. It’s really raw and humble, the line ‘Every hope I had it was you I hung it from’ is one of my favourite lines on the album.”

Clash is able to share the video before anyone else, and it’s simple, stark, and affecting feel perfectly mirrors the song itself. Danny McNamara adds: “For the video we wanted something really simple and direct and I think Alexander Kershaw who’s directed all the videos for this campaign so far did another incredible job with it…”

Tune in now.
