Belfast is an unlikely dance music hub.
Despite boasting numerous fantastic DJs – and the odd seminal club night to boot – the Northern Irish city has remained slightly off radar. Perhaps that's about to change.
Ejeca is rooted firmly in Belfast's house tradition, with the city always keen to retain a hold of its soulful roots. Matching a bouncy, Stateside garage edge to deep atmospherics, last year saw the producer really come into his own.
Working with AUS Music, Saints & Sonnets, W&O Street Tracks, Future Classic and more, Ejeca has gained the support of everyone from old house luminaries (such as Sasha) to Numbers lynchpin Jackmaster.
Latest EP 'Frequency' is an appropriate introduction. Out now, ClashMusic has gained the video for lead cut 'Hi Rollin' – soulful, but with a dark, percussive edge its one for those dark, late night ventures.
