ClashMusic caught up with Dirty Pretty Things on the eve of their split – our exclusive video footage comes from their private rehearsal studio in north London.
The band played their last gig on 20th December at London’s Astoria 2 venue, read ClashMusic’s news of the gig. This full-band interview is their last ever.
The band formed from the ashes of The Libertines, fronted by Carl Barat with drummer Gary Powell, with Cooper Temple Clause’s Didz Hammond jumping ship to assist on bass and Anthony Rossomando continuing his Pete Doherty replacement role on guitar.
During their career, the band graced the cover of Issue 14 of Clash magazine and enjoyed success with their ‘Waterloo to Anywhere’ and ‘Romance At Short Notice’ albums which spawned hits ‘Bang Bang You’re Dead’ and ‘Deadwood’.
