David Bowie's return has been spectacular without being ostentatious, effective without losing its imagination.
'The Next Day' (Clash review HERE) was accompanied by numerous visuals, with Bowie demonstrating his eye-catching flair. For new clip 'Valentine's Day' though, the iconic artist has decided to do something a little simpler.
Shot in an empty corridor, David Bowie stares straight into the camera as he performs the song. It's simple – and it's been done before – but as an exercise in charisma and presence, it proves that Bowie retains the gravitas which fuelled his glory years.
