These things are never easy. Crime & The City Solution span four decades, three continents and one label.
Cult heroes on Mute, the band recently signalled their resurgence after a gap of almost twenty years. Playing a series of shows, the new edition of Crime & The City Solution confirmed that they retained the fire which fuelled those early recordings.
Previewing a few newly written tracks, it was clear that the next stage of the band's career was now upon us. The results are gathered on 'American Twilight'. Written and recorded in their new home of Detroit, the album is set to be released on March 25th.
The band have placed a series of previews online, with new single 'Goddess' due to be available from March 4th.
ClashMusic have gained the UK exclusive on the 'Goddess' video – directed by Danielle de Picciotto, it seems to play on the Biblical myth of the serpent in the Garden of Eden. Strikingly shot, it matches the band's music perfectly – continually in flux, 'Goddess' preens and pouts with a rare sense of abandon.
