Club Smith – Beautiful & Useless

Rising Leeds quartet...

It's never been so tough to be independent.

Simply put: the money isn't there. Fans don't have the wages they once did, while the less said about the way some venues operate the better…

Which is what makes the story of Club Smith so heartwarming. Formed by four kids in Leeds and York, the band have fought to be in the position they're in, with their debut album 'Appetite For Chivalry' emerging at the tail end of last year.

Touring continuously the band have been able to build a solid fan base through sheer hard work. New single 'Beautiful & Useless' drops on April 1st, and represents a great catch up point for those who might have missed out.

All jagged post-punk rhythms, high-as-hell bass lines and disco production work, 'Beautiful & Useless' is a sweeping, dramatic pop statement. The video for the track is every bit as stylised. Shot in monochrome, mask-clad dancers pirouette as the song wraps itself around them.

Watch it now.
