Signed to Linn Records, Emily Barker has teamed up with the Red Clay Halo to work on her new album. The Blue Nile lynchpin Calum Malcolm has stepped in on production, with the results set to find Emily Barker moving in a new direction.
Lead single 'Dear River' is out today (May 13th), and finds the singer reflecting on her youth in Australia. "Dear River is a song about journey," she said recently, "it is a longing for the unfamiliar, where the journey itself becomes a home. However, the more I travel and experience, the more the river calls me back and I start longing for what I knew: those first landscapes, those first loves".
