Bryan Ferry – The Jazz Age

New preview emerges...

The Jazz Age comes bound with certain associations, certain styles.

An era of near perpetual affluence, it found the memory of the Great War being cast aside in favour of carpe diem bliss. Almost a century on, it remains at the forefront of the cultural imagination, a time when the roots of pop culture began to assemble.

For his new album, Bryan Ferry has decided to look back on this period. Titled 'The Jazz Age' the upcoming record finds Bryan Ferry taking classics from his own back catalogue and re-working them with a host of guest musicians.

"A lot of the music I listen to nowadays is instrumental," he explained recently, "and I wanted to let my songs have a different life, a life without words".

Out on November 26th, Bryan Ferry has pieced together a new video outlining the reasons behind the project. Discussing the making of the album, you can watch the video now on ClashMusic.
