Soul is an indefinable property, something which transcends genre, style.
But Bonobo definitely has soul. The English producer returned recently with new album 'The North Borders', a fusion of glitchy beats, lush samples and evocative vocals.
The connecting thread came from soul. Using a variety of voices, Bonobo was able to conjure something with genuine feeling, by turns mournful yet glistening with hope, melancholic yet transcendent.
Taken from the new LP, 'First Fires' is set to gain a single release on May 20th. Ahead of this, Canadian born, Los Angeles raised director Alex Takacs has stepped in to provide visuals for the track.
