Bloc Party have stunned fans with the news that they are to release new single “Talons” on October 20th – and you can watch the video right now!
The band have spent the summer wrong footing both critics and fans. Initial single “Mercury” was an extremely daring comeback, with an experimental approach to songwriting and -shock horror – no guitars! The band followed this with the release of third album “Intimacy” with little build up hype. A varied set, “Intimacy” may well be the best thing the band have done containing some of their trademark spiky guitars as well as expanding on their now traditional sound.
As if that wasn’t enough, Bloc Party have now revealed that they are set to release a new, non album, single “Talons”. Recorded with long time collaborator Paul Epworth the track is a riveting rollicking piece of rock and roll. Just a shame they have to make their release schedule so complicated!
