RAK Studios is one of those buildings that simply carries a certain weight.
One of the most important studios in the country, it was founded in the 70s and remains at the cutting edge, recently hosting Radiohead, The xx, Sam Smith, and many more.
Communion have struck up a relationship with the team at RAK, and will shortly launch a new series of live sessions featuring the pick of their roster.
Clash favourites Banfi step in to launch the effort, recording their new release 'The Jack Powell' EP in RAK.
Chris Scott GM of Communion Records said: “Today, It has never been easier for artists to reach their fans, yet creating and sharing genuinely quality content can remain a challenge. We are delighted to partner with a studio with of the pedigree of RAK, which will give our artists the opportunity to create and share some incredible live performances…”
'The Jack Powell' EP is out shortly, and we're able to share this beautifully shot live session version of 'Future'. Probing, emotive songwriting, the guitars seem to push ever outwards, while the lyrics trace paths of personal introversion.
