Anna Meredith's new album 'Varmints' is a joy.
Sitting somewhere between avant garde classical scenes and outright pop, the sheer wit and invention alone is riveting.
Out this Friday (March 4th) the Scottish-born composer has teased the release with new video 'Taken'.
Director Ewan Jones Morris says: "It's about how life repeats but is never exactly the same. The track felt domestic to me, so I wanted to examine everyday things in a repetitive frame work."
Meredith adds: "I’ve been a long term fan of Ewan’s work and knew he’d come up with something really special for this track! I love the many angles on the same thing approach throughout the track – really chimes in with how a lot of my music works."
