The slow, intoxicating promise of Alt-J is on the verge of a major breakthrough.
2012 has found the band releasing their debut album, with 'An Awesome Wave' pushing its way into the charts. Amongst the favourites to scoop the Mercury Music Prize, Alt-J recently recorded a fairly spectacular cover version.
Taking time off from an Australian tour, the band dropped by radio station Triple J to record a live session. Deciding to take part in their regular Like A Version series, Alt-J cooked up something special for the one off event.
'Slow Dre' matches the rhythm track from Dr Dre's 'Still D.R.E.' to a version of Kylie Minogue's 'Slow'. It's all fairly specular, and you can watch it now on ClashMusic.
