Zombies Live DVD

Group set for historic concerts

Seminal 60s psych-heads The Zombies are set to release their first ever concert DVD.

Formed in the early 60s, The Zombies went on to dominate the British pop scene with their ambitious mixture of orchestral and rock sounds. Presaging psychedelia, they went on to have a huge hit in the summer of love with ‘Time Of The Season’.

The group’s last act before splitting was to record ‘Odessey And Oracle’. A vast, ambitious work the album took on a cult life of its own, and now regularly appears in magazine lists to finds the best albums of all time.

The Zombies recently reformed to play the album for one final time. Playing a series of gigs throughout the nation, one of highlights was a show at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

With a star-studded audience including Paul Weller, Robert Plant, Robyn Hitchcock, Snow Patrol and Garbage the band played a faultless rendition of the album.

Having revisited the past The Zombies now intend to look to the future. With only a handful of dates left on the tour the band will never again play the album in its entirety, making the forthcoming DVD a unique chance to revisit that wonderful music.

The Zombies are due to release their new DVD ‘Odessey and Oracle Revisited: The 40th Anniversary Concert’ on April 20th. The band have also confirmed the following dates:

April
21 Glasgow ABC
23 Bristol Colston Hall
24 Manchester Bridgewater Hall
