Hotly tipped indie upstarts Your Kids are to play a very special in store at London vintage boutique Rokit.
The future ain’t all its cracked up to be. While some trend spotters leap from genre to genre, there remain a hardy few who look to the past for inspiration, mixing classic looks with a little individuality.
London is one of the best places to buy vintage clothing, and perhaps the city’s finest boutique is Rokit. Selling vintage clothes back before the fashion industry had begun to recycle itself, the brand has grown to cover several different outlets.
Where some vintage shops will sell damaged goods, Rokit pride themselves on selling only the best quality items. Paying attention to detail, condition and quality the Rokit brand stands for something which can fit alongside the finest vintage clothing.
With that in mind, Rokit have decided to fling open their doors for a very special event. Tomorrow (March 18th) the shop will play host to up and coming London act Your Kids, with fans able to take advantage of a special offer.
Having played just a handful of shows to date, Your Kids have risen rapidly. Their torn at the edges indie sound recalls punk icons such as Television but with a sharp, modern touch.
Preparing to release their debut single shortly, the trio are to blast through a typically feral set at Rokit’s main branch in Camden. Fans who bring a flyer with them are entitled to 15% off, with the event running from 6.30pm – 9pm.
You have better be quick though – as ever with vintage clothing there is a limited supply, with fans urged to get down early to take advantage of the offer.
