Yeasayer have decided to cancel their upcoming European tour due to family reasons.
Hitting Europe earlier this year for a handful of intimate shows, Yeasayer gave fans a tantalising glimpse of their new material. ‘Fragrant World’ was released this summer, delighting fans but splitting critics in the process.
Set to play a further batch of European shows this month, the band have been forced to pull out. According to the group’s Twitter feed, Yeasayer pulled out due to “family reasons” before adding: “We are all okay + thank u 4 your patience!”
As Pitchfork point out, some special news on Monday could be linked to this decision. Writing to fans, Yeasayer said: “We’d like to congratulate Anand Wilder + his wife Jo on giving birth to their beautiful new baby girl on Sat.!!! Show news soon.”
