Once, a paradise known only to a few. Now, though, the summer season is home to countless thousand pleasure seekers, storming across the island in search of the latest thrill. There’s a lot of competition but Ibiza Rocks has raced ahead of the pack, with season after season of diverse line ups.
Returning in 2012, the summer line up opened with Ed Sheeran before performances from Mark Ronson, Maverick Sabre, The Maccabees, Skream and more. Running across the summer, this year’s Ibiza Rocks contained perhaps its broadest line up yet. Major Lazer arrived on the white isle for a one off party, before Wiley showcased his extrovert persona.
It wasn’t just dance music, though, with Bloc Party returning from exile to preview material from their fourth album. Expanding to launch a sister even in Mallorca, the promotion company even took the party back to the UK. Teaming up with Skate, Ibiza Rocks is set to host a one off event in the heart of London this January. F
