Wiley, Zomby And Kode9 To Play Benji B’s Deviation

A holy, grimey trinity of London's finest...

The fourth instalment of Benji B's Deviation residency at XOYO has just been announced – with the godfather of grime, Hyperdub boss and a certain polarising figure named Zomby taking to its stage alongside Benji himself.

There's tons of links between these three greats. When Zomby started out his early influences were Eskibeat, and Rustie's 'Spliff Dub' remix and 'Zomby EP' were both released on Hyperdub. Kode9 and Wiley's Rinse FM set from 2007 is also an essential listen – so it'll be fascinating to see these three tastemakers share the same stage.

And if you'd forgotten, the last time Zomby played Deviation he (allegedly) got into a fist fight with Hudson Mohawke over some Givenchy socks, so who knows what'll happen this time round…

Check out the full list of artists (Four Tet, Skepta and Todd Edwards are just a handful) playing Deviation in April and purchase tickets here.
