Witchita was founded by Dick Green and Mark Bowen, following the end of Green's previous label Creation Records.
Fuelled by a desire to return to the original tenets of independent music, Witchita set about building a roster which was as enticing as it was individual.
Bright Eyes, My Morning Jacket and Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Cribs have all passed through their gates, with the label quickly establishing a certain sense of style and taste.
Reaching its 15th birthday with nary a wrinkle in place, Wichita is set to host two special shows as a means of toasting this anniversary.
Waxahatchee will play the Islington Assembly Hall on October 29th, while Los Campesinos! are due to perform at the Scala on November 22nd.
