White Lies Confirm UK Tour

Ahead of new album 'Ritual'

White Lies have confirmed a series of British tour dates ahead of their second album ‘Ritual’.

Confirming details of their second album, White Lies broke a period of silence from the band. The London based group took time off to record new material, restricting themselves to only a few live shows.

Playing several dates with Muse, the band only played a handful of British shows. Introducing new material during an intimate set at FAC251, White Lies hinted at where their second album ‘Ritual’ would take them.

Due to be released in January, ‘Ritual’ is a typically epic return from the band. Speaking to ClashMusic recently, drummer Jack Lawrence-Brown revealed that White Lies are desperate to get back out on the road.

“I think more than anything we want to present the album to people. It always feels weird to play an album that hasn’t been released yet, which is what we’ll be doing on the upcoming dates” he said.

“Which I suppose is quite a risk when you consider that people haven’t heard any of these songs. It is a risk but it’s good for people to hear the new songs first. We want them to be released, to get them out there. We’ve only played a few dates but they’ve gone well so we’re quite confident.”

Announcing a series of shows, White Lies plan to kickstart their tour on February 4th in Cambridge. Playing a number of dates across the country, the London based group will hit Glasgow’s historic Barrowlands on February 16th.

Ending in Manchester on February 18th, the band will showcase material from their much anticipated second album ‘Ritual’.

White Lies are due to play the following shows:

4 Cambridge Junction
6 Norwich UEA
7 Brighton Corn Exchange
9 Bristol Academy
10 London Shepherds Bush Empire
13 Leeds Academy
14 Birmingham Institute
16 Glasgow Barrowlands
