We Out Here 2024: Weather, Travel & Traffic Update

The four-day extravaganza kicks off tomorrow...

We Out Here festival returns this year with a mammoth line-up, running from tomorrow through to Sunday.

Inaugurated in 2019 by Gilles Peterson, his label Brownswood Recordings and Worldwide FM, We Out Here is the idyllic countryside festival retreat for those seeking a curated, cross-generational line-up of artists from the worlds of jazz, electronic, reggae, progressive soul, RnB and beyond.

This year, rap luminary turned new age spiritualist André 3000 headlines alongside Sampha. Expect performances by electronic stalwarts Floating Points and Mount Kimbie, jazz musician Matthew Halsall, neo soul artists Corinne Bailey Rae and Yaya Bey, UK alt-rapper Casisdead, Afrobeats star Obongjayar and much more.

You can refer to the We Out Here festival guide for all the information you’ll need.

We Out Here is held at Wimborne St Giles in the Dorset countryside in South West England.

According to the Met Office, festival goers can expect a dry first day, with a small chance of rainfall tomorrow evening into the early morning. Come Friday 16th, the rain will subside and temperatures will reach a high of 23 degrees Celsius. Saturday 17th follows a similar pattern with more cloud cover and a cooler breeze. On Sunday 18th, expect highs of 23 degrees Celsius once again, with sunny spells during the day and a more overcast evening.

In terms of traffic, the AA report no major incidents or blockages near Dorset. Check here for updates.

We Out Here is easily accessible by train and train station transfers are available from the designated station at Bournemouth this year.

Due to a major forecourt construction project at Salisbury Station during the festival duration, all festival traffic is redirected from Salisbury to Bournemouth. Bournemouth Train Station is located just 30 minutes away from the festival site. The festival will be running shuttles from Bournemouth station direct to We Out Here. These will run on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th, from 10am to 9pm every half an hour. The return journey will run from We Out Here to Bournemouth Station on Monday 19th, from 7am to 2pm

If you plan on driving to We Out Here, use the address: St Giles House, Wimborne St Giles, Dorset, BH21 5NA and follow the signs for Red Gate. Car parking is available to purchase in either the General Car Park or Boutique Car Park.
