tUnE-yArDs dropped by Jimmy Kimmel last night (January 5th) for a startling performance on mainstream American television.
With the release of ‘w h o k i l l’ last year, tUnE-yArDs demonstrated the sheer breadth of their ambition. A remarkably original album, the material dipped into Afrobeat while also displaying an incredible sense of naivety.
Live, the group are pretty special. tUnE-yArDs build up each song from simple patterns, using the loop pedal as an instrument in its own right.
Dropping by American chat show Jimmy Kimmel Live! the band played ‘Bizness’ and ‘You Yes You’ – both taken from ‘w h o k i l l’.

tUnE-yArDs are set to bring their wonderful live show to the UK next month. Confirming a full European tour, the band have outlined plans for a short burst of shows on British and Irish soil.
Opening in Dublin on February 12th, the American group will play the city’s Button Factory venue. Hitting the UK, tUnE-yArDs are due to perform in Leeds on February 13th before hitting London.
Taking place on February 15th, the show at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire is one of the biggest tUnE-yArDs have played to date.
