Bon Iver have recorded a short, stripped down set for labels 4AD and Jagjaguwar.
Bon Iver aren’t exactly known for their blood pumping, over-the-top stadium anthems. Yet even by their standards, a new session recorded for 4AD and Jagjaguwar is a thing of sparse, stripped down beauty.
Part of a regular series of live sessions, Bon Iver travelled to AIR Studios to breeze through a handful of tracks. Focussing on their second album, Justin Vernon decided to move away from the current 11 piece line up.
Throwing in a few surprises, Justin Vernon brushes through a cover of Bonnie Raitt’s ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ in a session that emphasises the intimate nature of the band’s output.
