Glasgow-based all-dayer The Great Western will return later this year.
The event takes place on November 4th, utilising some of the best venues in the city’s West End. The first names on the bill have been confirmed, including almighty sleaze-rockers Warmduscher, South London experimentalist Wu-Lu, and Wirral sonic voyager Forest Swords.
Elsewhere, you can check out garage punks Chubby & The Gang, Aine Deane, and Clash favourite Naima Bock.
There’s lots more to come, with The Great Western also teaming with Lost Map Records – usually housed on the semi-fictional Isle of Eigg – or its 10th anniversary. Yep, a special bash is being planned at the Piping Centre, featuring label head honcho Pictish Trail, Rozi Plain, Free Love and many more.
Festival Organiser, Daniel Mutch: “We are delighted to bring The Great Western back to the West End in November and have worked really hard to pack the 2023 edition with what we feel are some of the most dynamic and exciting artists on the live circuit at the moment. From the long awaited festival return of Warmduscher to the trailblazing Queer-Pop Icon LYNKS, with a strong emphasis on local talent too. We can’t wait to see Great Western Road packed once more with music-hungry fans looking to discover their new favourite artists and look forward to seeing you all in November!”
Tickets are on sale now.
