Wakestock, Europe’s largest ‘wake surfing’ festival, has announced a new venue and a host of acts for its 2008 event.
Wake surfing is a style of surfing which involves being towed along by a speedboat, and has risen to become accepted as an extreme sport in its own right.
Now in its 9th sell out year, Wakestock is set within the confines of Welsh town Abersoch but has now expanded to include an extra event in Blenheim Palace near Woodstock, Oxfordshire.
The line up for Wakestock includes such festival favourites as Groove Armada, The Streets, Supergrass and The Dykeenies.
Dates for Wakestock are as follows:
June 27th – 29th: Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxfordshire
July 4th – 6th: Abersoch, North Wales
