The inaugural Turning Point festival in London has expanded its bill yet again with hotly tipped newcomer VV Brown set to join proceedings.
Turning Point is a three day celebration of all that is great and good about British music. Taking place indoors, it side steps the unpredictable British weather by housing itself within the historic confines of the Roundhouse venue.
The Roundhouse looms large in London’s music mythology. The venue has held gigs by countless big names, and is set for another historic night later this year when Bob Dylan drops by for an intimate show.
Turning Point has added VV Brown to its line up. The electro starlet is already a friend of Clash, with a fashion shoot featuring the singer appearing in the current edition of our magazine. Joining the singer on the bill are Brighton’s polka dot clad 50s revivalists The Pipettes, who have been working on a new album.
Already confirmed for the bill are returning garage soul bandits The Noisettes and drum ‘n’ bass mentalists The Qemists. Also set to appear are Natty, Tinchy Stryder and grime star Kano.
The festival has also confirmed performances from Ebony Bones and hotly tipped group Kissy Sell Out. Amongst the DJs set to keep the crowds entertained are Radio 1’s Zane Lowe amid a host of star names.
Turning Point is set to take place between May 8th – 10th.
