Seminal shoewear firm Vans have launched a new Off The Wall music night starring Funeral For A Friend and Fightstar.
Nothing says laid back surfer cool like a pair of Vans. Founded in the West Coast of the United States, Vans specialise in comfortable shoewear that is nonetheless tough enough to withstand an active lifestyle.
The classic slip on was adopted by a generation of West Coast punk musicians, with band such as Black Flag proudly wearing theirs. Now Vans are set to re-visit their musical heritage with a special one off show. The Vans Off the Wall night returns for a second year this October and is set to be bigger and better than ever.
Bringing a little rock to Halloween, the pan-European music night will again take place simultaneously across different cities. Extending from five to twelve countries, Vans will create an evening of rock and punk with live performances from a host of star acts.
The UK event will boast performances from Funeral For A Friend and Fighstar. Founded by him out of Busted, Fightstar have escaped their boy band origins to become a respected rock act in their own right.
The band will share a stage with Funeral For A Friend, the Welsh act whose upcoming compilation ‘Your History Is Mine’ showcases more than a decade of pioneering music.
Supporting these two on the night will be fast rising Welsh titans Kids In Glass Houses and Attack! Attack!.
The Slam Dunk stage will also host a special reunion from Birmingham based Farse performing together for this night only and will be supported Blackfish and Me vs Hero. The third room will present the UK Now stage with Out of Sight, Saving Aimee and Young Guns to finish off a stellar line up.
