2ManyDJs also set to play

Ivy League afro-pop outfit Vampire Weekend are amongst the latest additions to Beach Break Live.

Britain’s biggest student festival, Beach Break Live mixes water sports with some top class music. Last year the event endured a heart breaking move away from its Cornish heartland, with organisers finding a new site for this summer’s instalment.

Already confirmed for the festival are the likes of Calvin Harris, with Chase & Status also due to perofrm. Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip are set to get their water waders out at Beach Break Live, and the intrepid duo will be joined by Silver Columns, The Futureheads, Example and many more.

Taking place across five days, Beach Break Live has moved to Pembrey Country Park in South Wales. Organisers are continually working on the final line up, with Vampire Weekend amongst the latest additions.

With their new album ‘Contra’ Vampire Weekend have reached a new level of recognition, as the New Yorkers topped charts in their native United States.

A stunning mixture of African rhythms and indie pop songcraft, Vampire Weekend’s new album was followed by some of their biggest British shows to date. Confirming plans for the summer, the group are due to play a headline slot at Beach Break Live.

Also set to play the Welsh event are Belgian beat boffins 2ManyDJs. One of the biggest names in dance music, the turntable duo have rocked crowds across the world for the past decade.

Festival favourites, their ‘As Heard On Radio Soulwax’ compilations are some of the most influential releases of the new Millennium.

Beach Break Live takes place between June 14th – 18th.
