Kings of Leon rockers Caleb and Nathan join Geoff Lloyd backstage at the V Festival 2010 ahead of their Saturday headline set at Hylands Park in Chelmsford.

Shaun Ryder talks to Geoff Lloyd backstage ahead of his Nissan Juke Arena performance at the 2010 V Festival. The Happy Mondays legend was a late addition to the V Festival line-up, but this is now his second year running at the event. He tells Geoff that a retrospective album is coming out soon and admits that Bez has had a tough time since being convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend at their home in Manchester, but believes he’ll bounce back.

The beautifully nutty Paloma outshone everybody on Saturday at the 2010 V Festival, wearing a Hippo dress. She chats to Ben backstage about settling into her festival routine and her recent acting and directing ventures. Paloma will be on tour again later this year and she’s loving the audience singing along with her songs. She tells Ben how falling in love and being heartbroken affects her songwriting!

Lissie chats to Geoff backstage at the 2010 V Festival about spending time in the UK, picking up the accent and having a boyfriend. She’s not really interested in having a boyfriend, just someone to make out with now and again.

Kelly and Richard talk to Ben Jones backstage at the V Festival 2010. The pair reveal that there will be a big Stereophonics announcement very soon. During the interview, the band also reveal that they’ve spent a lot more time on the tourbus recently, learning great things about each other along the way. Rich has started shooting rabbits and Kelly’s entered the 21st century by getting an iPhone! They talk about Stuart Cable and how he’s always with them – It took the about 3 weeks for his death to hit home and fans have started to appear at gigs holding banners saying RIP Stuart.

During this backstage interview with Absolute Radio’s Geoff Lloyd, Paul reveals that he’s turned down an MBE. The Modfather looks back at past festivals, including the first V Festival. He tells Geoff that they’ve changed because people just want to hear the greatest hits. Weller also explains how he’s been hit by loads of thrown objects and even admits to having lost it with members of the public! When asked about his Mercury Prize nomination, Weller tells Geoff that the award normally goes to someone who nobody has ever heard of, so he’s doubtful that he’ll win. The Gallagher brothers also get a mention during the interview as Weller has hired Noel Gallagher as his drummer on some new material he’s working on! The former Jam star also says that he’s visited Liam’s shop and is going to be wearing a Liam Gallagher jacket on stage tonight.
