Two Door Cinema Club Announce O2 Arena Show

...and a new single

Two Door Cinema Club have announced a one off show at the O2 Arena.

Two Door Cinema Club began as a trio in a small Northern Irish town, their name being an in-joke that few – apart from locals – would probably understand. Now, though, the three piece stand as one of the country's music successful guitar bands, capable of claiming their place at the top of the charts.

Recently selling out London's Alexandra Palace, the band have decided to make the leap to arenas. This morning (August 15th) the group confirmed plans for a one off show at the O2 Arena on December 13th.

The biggest show of the band's career to date, the capacity has been set at a staggering 20,000 fans. "I want to know how many gigs we have done to get here" said guitarist Sam Halliday. "We have been quite lucky to build our following in the right way – the pub shows, then the theatre shows, then the warehouse shows. It feels like a huge achievement, it is the thing we have been working very hard towards for a long time but at the same time we feel confident and ready that we are experienced enough and have got enough fans and enough songs and enough records behind us to headline The O2. It will be the biggest moment of our career so far!"

Tickets go on sale at 9am on August 21st.

As if that wasn't enough, Two Door Cinema Club have confirmed plans for a new single. Produced by Madeon, 'Changing of the Seasons' will be the lead track from a new EP which will be released on September 30th. Tune in tonight for the grand unveiling…
