Tom Vek has announced plans to play a short five date headline tour this November.
Releasing his debut album ‘We Have Sound’ back in 2005, Tom Vek seemed destined for success. A highly promising young producer, his blend of electronics and indie songwriting resulted in a pivotal debut album.
And then… nothing. For five years fans wondered what had happened to Tom Vek, with rumours of illness and label troubles spreading across the web.
Returning safe and sound earlier this year, the songwriter released his second album ‘Leisure Seizure’. Swinging back into gear, Tom Vek has completed a number of remixes and collaborations including a period working with DJ Shadow.
Taken from his latest album, forthcoming single ‘Someone Loves You’ is set to drop on October 31st. Stripped from ‘Leisure Seizure’ the track is an appropriate way to enter the Autumn, with Tom Vek planning a short UK tour.
Announcing just five dates, the shows open in Glasgow on November 10th. Taking place in the city’s Arches venue, the tour continues with a one off visit to Liverpool’s Masque on November 11th.
Tom Vek will continue the tour with a show in Nottingham on November 13th, before playing Bristol’s Thekla venue the following day.
Finishing in London, the songwriter is set to play the largest headline date of his career thus far. Taking place in the 2000 capacity Shepherds Bush Empire venue, Tom Vek will end the short run of dates in ambitious style.
Tickets are on sale now.
