Thurston Moore and Michael Chapman are set to join forces next year for a series of shows labelled the Acoustic Fires Music Tour.
With Sonic Youth seemingly on indefinite hiatus, Thurston Moore has thrown himself into a series of different projects. New group Chelsea Light Moving are in thrall to New York's avant rock past, while solo album 'Demolished Thoughts' was a gentle, introspective and largely acoustic affair.
Now the guitarist has confirmed a joint tour. Thurston Moore will trade spaces with Michael Chapman on a series of British dates which unite two powerhouse in avant garde guitar playing.
On each date, both artists will play full solo shows before finishing the performance with a full collaboration. Supporting on all shows bar Bristol and Norwich is Yorkshire based guitarist Dean McPhee, whose full length debut album 'Son Of The Black Peace' earlier this year.
Here's 'Benediction'.
Dates are as follows:

2 Norwich Arts Centre
