A true giant of the avant garde, William Burroughs career has left a legacy far beyond the Beat generation.
Noted for his writing, his visual art and his criticism, the centennial of the writer's birth took place on February 5th.
With events being organised across the globe to shine renewed light on his work, the Red Gallery is Shoreditch is set to host a very special exhibition.
Co-curated by Thurston Moore and publisher Eva Prinz, the exhibition focusses on the 1978 'Nova Convention' – a retrospective of William Burroughs' work held in New York.
Opening on July 1st, the new exhibition will include photographs of Laurie Anderson, Patti Smith, Philip Glass, Frank Zappa, John Cage, Allen Ginsberg and more.
Presented by Ecstatic Peace Library, the 'Nova Convention' will run at the Red Gallery in Shoreditch between July 1st – 13th. Full information HERE.
