Earlier this year, These New Puritans announced plans to host a special installation named 'Magnetic Field'.
Loosely focussed on their acclaimed 'Field Of Reeds' album, the band have been working with a number of guest artists to produce something special.
Hosted at 180 Strand in London between April 15th – 19th, the installation focusses around the Magnetic Resonator Piano, which is apparently "an electronically – augmented acoustic piano which uses a series of magnets combined with sensors to resonate, bend and torment the piano's strings, creating infinite sustain, crescendos, harmonics, pitch bends and incredible new timbres."
Alongside this, These New Puritans have secured performances from the likes of East India Youth, Halls, Gwilym Gold and Scanner, with a few surprises along the way.
Hooking up with the Vinyl Factory, the band have also unveiled plans for a limited edition 12 inch. Featuring re-workings of material from 'Field Of Reeds' you can stream a promo mix below:
'Magnetic Field' runs between April 15th – 19th.
