Therapy? For Download

Metal event expands bill

Raise your goblet of rock in salute of the heaviest festival of them all – Download!

Set in the spiritual home of British rock music, Donnington park, Download is one of the nation’s largest music festivals. Gathering hordes of rock and metal fans the event is the highlight of the summer for some, with the event guaranteed to have some spectacular names.

This year is no exception with Northern Irish rock legends Therapy? joining the bill. Formed some twenty years ago the three piece remain popular, with their songwriting taking elements of metal and injecting some humour. With a devoted fan base the band have outlived many of their peers to become a UK rock institution.

The Belfast group are set to be joined by the some truly stellar names. Faith No More stunned fans earlier this year by announcing their reformation, and the band will play their first UK show in a decade at Donnington Park.

Other giants on the bill include masked marauders Limp Bizkit, Sheffield survivors Def Leppard and rap metal icons Korn.

The event has expanded in recent years to include head banging acts from out with the rock scene. The Prodigy are set to headline, with Australian soundalikes Pendulum also due to perform.

Nu-metal icon Marilyn Manson is set to release a new album later this year, and the one time music journalist is preparing to unveil his new material with a very special set at Download. Bizarrely, Charlie Simpson’s project Fightstar are also booked to play…

Download is set to take place between June 12th – 14th.
