The Vaccines Add May Tour Dates

Four shows confirmed

The Vaccines are set to play a four date tour of ‘seaside towns’ in Spring 2012.

Love them or loathe them, The Vaccines are here to stay. Exploding out of the traps with confrontational debut album ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?’ the band recently completed their biggest UK tour yet.

Looking ahead, the band are planning a short burst of shows in Spring 2012. Themed around ‘seaside towns’ the dates open with a show in Dundee’s historic Caird Hall on May 2nd.

Which is where the news item diverts from the press release. Clash (Scotland) are actually based in Dundee, and the city is sat beside the river Tay meaning that the venue looks out onto a tidal estuary rather than the sea.

But we digress…

The tour continues with shows in Bridlington, Blackpool and Brighton – all of whom have bona fide seaside credentials.

The Vaccines released their new single ‘Wet Suit’ earlier this week. Produced by Albert Hammond Jr (of Strokes fame) the single came after the band bumped into the guitarist while touring the United States.

Watch the video for ‘Wetsuit’ below and check the full list of tour dates after the jump…
