Tickets for The Stone Roses first UK shows in over fifteen years go on sale tomorrow morning.
It’s been the worst kept secret in the music industry. For over a decade, The Stone Roses had been forced to bat off demands for them to reform, with all four members issuing stern denials during interviews.
However in one fell swoop The Stone Roses made the dreams of countless fans around the world come true. Holding a press conference on Tuesday (October 18th) the band confirmed that they would reform for a world tour.
The mythical group promised an extensive tour in 2012, containing a number of international dates. Alongside this, though, The Stone Roses revealed that they were planning to write and record material for a potential third album.
For now, though, fans must content themselves with just two British shows. The band will start their comeback in their hometown of Manchester, playing two epic shows at the city’s Heaton Park.
Upwards of 75,000 people will attend each show, making them by some distance the biggest concerts in the history of the band.
Naturally, there will be huge demand for tickets with fans expected to travel around the globe just for these shows. Set to go on sale tomorrow (October 21st) phone lines / online outlets open at 9.30am.
Expect enormous demand, with the excitement generated by Tuesday’s announcement broadcast around the globe.
The Stone Roses are set to play the following shows:
June
29 Manchester Heaton Park
30 Manchester Heaton Park
