The Stone Roses are set to headline Optimus Alive alongside The Cure and Radiohead.
Reforming last year in a blaze of publicity, it’s almost time for The Stone Roses to get down to business. The band have promised a world tour, which will include a number of festival slots along the way.
This morning (February 15th) the band’s itinerary increased by one. The Stone Roses are set to headline Optimus Alive, making a return to Portugal for the massive outdoor festival.
The band join a line up already glittering with talent. The Cure and Radiohead have also been installed as headliners, forming a triptych of legendary British groups set to descend on the festival.
Running between July 13th – 15th, Optimus Alive boasts a 4 star camping site with hot showers, a swimming pool and a free shuttle service back and forth to the festival.
Elsewhere on the bill, Caribou will make a live appearance while French electro giants Justice are also planning to drop by. Hugely successful British outfit Florence & The Machine are scheduled to perform, while Mumford & Sons, Snow Patrol and a reformed Mazzy Star are booking up flights to Portugal.
Metronomy will bring their live show to Optimus Alive for a one off appearance, while Paus, The Kooks and more have also been confirmed.
