The National Confirm Autumn Tour

And new single

Gothic American group The National are set to tour across Britain during Autumn.

Cult heroes, The National seem to have breached the mainstream with their new album. ‘High Violet’ has seen the Brooklyn group become the latest American indie rock sensation, scooping some lavish reviews.

Despite their success, the band have not budged from their distinctive sound. Throughout ‘High Violet’ Matt Berninger’s distinctive baritone rumbled menacingly, while the group’s songwriting has rarely seemed so menacing.

Sparking a summer of frenetic activity, The National are set to play a series of special festival dates. Added to the bill for Glastonbury, the Brooklyn group are also preparing to play the Word Arena at Latitude.

Meanwhile, The National have added a one off show at Brighton’s Corn Exchange which sold out almost instantly. Set to return in the Autumn, the group have confirmed details of a new European tour.

Opening in Brussels on November 21st, the band will visit Paris before touching down on British soil. Dates in Bristol, Coventry, Glasgow, Manchester and more before completing the tour in London on December 1st.

Tickets are on sale now, with fans advised to get in quick. Meanwhile, The National will release their new single ‘Anyone’s Ghost’ as a digital download on June 28th.

The National are set to play the following shows:

November
24 Bristol O2 Academy
25 Coventry Warwick Arts Centre
26 Glasgow O2 Academy
27 Manchester O2 Academy
