The Libertines will play London’s Gunnersbury Park on August 9th.
The band released their new album ‘All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade’ earlier this year, rocketing to No. 1 in the process. CLASH writer Jazz Hodge caught up with The Libertines for an incredible profile, and found a band renewed – revisit that piece in our archive.
Playing a massive open-air Brighton show this summer, The Libertines are now setting their sights on the coming year.
The indie icons will play London’s Gunnersbury Park next summer, hitting the massive West London space on August 9th.
In a launch video, The Libertines commented:
“The old white mansion in Gunnersbury Park is in one of our favourite films, The Lavender Hill Mob, so we thought we’d bring the Eastern Esplanade mob and some spiky guitars to that Arcadian glade in West London for a good ol’ homecoming knees up. Look forward to seeing you there!”
The Libertines will be joined by a stellar guest cast, including Britpop heroes Supergrass, the freshly renamed Soft Play, Lambrini Girls, Real Farmer, and our old pal Hak Baker.
