Groundbreaking Cornwall music event The Kooks have been added to the line up to this summer’s Eden Sessions.
The Kooks released their stunning second album ‘Konk’ last year. Recorded in Ray Davies’ studio of the same name, the band recaptured some of the magic that fuelled the Kinks star’s golden era.
Famed for catchy hooks and upbeat lyrics, The Kooks are a charming live act. With lead singer Luke Hibbert currently working on new material, the band will have plenty of surprises up their sleeves.
Peter Hampel, Eden’s Creative Director, said: “The Kooks have already established a great reputation for really strong song-writing and for delivering high energy and uplifting live sets. On the back of a hotly tipped new album, they will be a real highlight of this year’s Sessions.”
Already confirmed for the unusual event are Kasabian and Oasis. The Manchester group were due to play last year but were forced to drop out after Noel Gallagher was attacked onstage in Canada.
Now into its eight year, in the past the Eden Sessions have played host to acts such as Kaiser Chiefs, Muse and many more.
The Kooks will play an Eden Session on July 18th.
