The Kills have been added to the bill of a one off night at the Warehouse Project curated by The Horrors.
Returning with their new album, The Kills ended a prolonged period of silence. Now perhaps better known for a few outside projects – The Dead Weather and Kate Moss, respectively – the group had it all to prove.
Thankfully, new album ‘Blood Pressures’ proved that the pair had lost none of their visceral charm. An edgy, blues driven affair the album won critical acclaim and even nudged its way into the Top 40.
Announcing a series of European shows, The Kills completed some sizzling live appearances. Focussing their sights on the UK, the band have confirmed plans for a one off show in Manchester.
Taking place at the Warehouse Project, the show has been curated by The Horrors. The London band have invited some friends along, with the one off concert due to mix guitars with electronics.
Arranged for October 15th, The Kills are the final name on the line up. Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince will bring their electric charisma to the Warehouse Project, alongside an extremely varied cast.
Manchester producer xxxy is due to perform, whole Floating Points will also bring their live show to the Warehouse Project. Influenced by classical music, IDM and of course dubstep Floating Points is one of the most adventurous producers to emerge from increasingly eclectic bass scene.
Post-punk influenced newcomers Factory Floor are set to take part, while the Eat Your Own Ears DJs will take the party into the early hours.
An extremely tempting bill, the one off show is the latest announcement in the Autumn / Winter series from the Warehouse Project. Staying open until 5am, tickets for the show are on sale now.
