Fresh from releasing their debut ‘A Balloon Called Moaning’ last month, dream-pop newcomers The Joy Formidable are set to embark on their first full-length UK tour in May.
Led by girlfriend-boyfriend lead duo Ritzy Bryan and Rhydian Dafydd, The Joy Formidable’s potent blend of shoegaze, epic pop hooks and art-rock has already found fans in Howling Bells and White Lies, acts the band have been touring with extensively recently.
May 5th will see the band play Oxford with promising Brummie newcomers Calories (check out a Clash Music review of their ace new album ‘Adventuring’ here).
As well as this, they’ll also play a series of UK festival dates throughout the summer , so far joining the bill for Great Escape and Wales’ Wakestock.
